    A lot of people have been interested in sending donations to organizations where they can be assured the funds will go directly to the people of Haiti and/or for purchases of necessities on the ground. Please check out Zanmi Lakay (www.zanmilakayblog.org), a nonprofit run by a colleague here in the San Francico bay area.
